Komodo 9 -- replacing file contents w Nulls?

I just switched to Komodo Edit 9 w Mac OS 10.10.3 & i noticing a couple of
weird annoying effects.

  1. Save a file to an SMB mounted volume. Access the file via the command line;
    editor claims the file has changed on disk. ā€œdo you want to reload?ā€ If I
    response Yes, then substantial portions of the file is replaced with "null"s.

  2. This too has been noticed a couple times; Under some conditions, the komodo
    tabs in the mac os bar at the v top is balked. Only the Komodo tab itself remains.
    The tabs will reappear if komodoā€“> Preferences is selected & dismissed.

any ideas ? Gve

  1. This is an issue in (I believe) the Samba version you are running, see for reference: https://community.activestate.com/node/10453

It is not a Komodo issue.

  1. Could you please rephrase? Iā€™m not sure what you mean by ā€œkomodo
    tabs in the mac os bar at the v top is balkedā€.

I guess iā€™m puzzled. The discussion referenced ( https://community.activestate.com/node/10453 ) seems to be directed at Mac OS Mavericks & older versions of Komodo. With this combo, I never experienced this problem.
With Komodo 7 & Mavericks I did not have trouble.
Komodo 7 & Yosemite was ok!
Only when I moved to Komodo 9 w Yosemite did I see these issues.

Iā€™ve disabled the option to check for changes on disk. Not ideal, bit Iā€™ll guess I live w it.

I am experiencing the same issue with Samba 4.1.12 on Centos 7, but not with Samba 3.6.23 on Centos 6, both accessed from OS X Yosemite 10.10.5. I was unable to find a solution yet :frowning:
