Find dialog in Komodo 9

Hi,

when using the Ctrl+F shortcut there is some different behavior of Komodo Edit 9 in comparison to Komodo Edit 8 (both run under UNIX).
Here’s what works perfectly fine in Komodo Edit 8:

  1. Open one file, mark something you want to search in another file and press “Ctrl + C”
  2. Open the file you want to search in
  3. Press “Ctrl+F” to open the Find dialog
  4. Press “Ctrl+V” to paste the previously copied string
  5. Press “Enter” to search

In Komodo 9 to achieve the same there are different steps:

  1. As above
  2. As above
  3. As above
    4. Click in the text box next to "Find what"
  4. As 4 of above
    6. Click on “Find next” to search in the opened file

So one needs to use the mouse instead of using only the keyboard. Is there some reason for this “more complicated” flow? I would propose to have “the old way” again.

Best regards

Hi again,

just updated to the latest version of Komodo Edit and saw that this is implemented as suggested again, so please forget about the post.

Best regards,
